Hernández Pitches Mariachis to 4-0 Win Saturday, July 26th , 1913 Leucipo Hernández was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Nayarit Mariachis hurler tossed a 4-hit, complete game shutout against the Durango Alacranes. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Hernández. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Hernández walked 1 and struck out 4 in the 4-0 victory. So far this year, Hernández has compiled a 8-12 record with a 3.21 ERA.
