Mariachis Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, August 12th , 1913 Opinions were split on the Nayarit Mariachis this season, with some figuring they were true Campeonato Nacional de México contenders and others thinking they would fade away. The latter group has been proven correct, as the club is now mathematically eliminated from postseason contention. The Mariachis have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 13 years as a Liga Nacional Mexicana franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1908. |
