Time's Up: Anderson to Retire Thursday, August 27th , 1908 It's a somber day for Thistles fans as Jamie Anderson announced that he will retire at the end of the 1908 season. The Inverness first baseman attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills. "I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them." |
