Bards Pitching Ravaged by Torres Thursday, August 7th , 1913 Limerick first baseman Bonifacio Torres had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Belfast Bards at Bards Field as the Gandelows picked up a win, 13-8. "He was patient up there," Limerick skipper Dane Hunter told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Torres has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Bonifacio Torres hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
