Aceves Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Wrexham Monday, August 18th , 1913 The Wrexham Druids clamped down on Rubén Aceves and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 20 straight games, but it didn't keep the Copper Lords from winning. Swansea downed the Druids, 4-2. "It was bound to happen," Aceves said with a shrug after the game. To date Aceves has chalked up a .325 average with 16 home runs, driven in 60 runs and scored 44 times. |
