Sheffield Draws Blanks Against Tuan Wednesday, August 20th , 1913 In an outstanding mound performance, Derby Rams starter Israel Tuan fired a complete-game shutout against the Sheffield Talons at Derby Stadium. Tuan was the key to the 3-0 Derby win. The 22-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 1 hit and 2 walks he allowed. "1 hit?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
