Arredondo Takes Charge, Blanks Newport, 4-0 Thursday, August 21st , 1913 Carlos Arredondo of Wrexham easily handled the Newport Stevedores, stopping them on 5 hits and chucking a complete-game 4-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said Newport manager Tim McKee. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us." He finished the game with 8 strikeouts and no walks in a solid outing.
