BFE&W Top Batter Trophy Won by Facio Monday, September 1st , 1913 August was an outstanding month for Bangor third baseman Enrique Facio and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Baseball Federation of England & Wales Batter of the Month award. Facio compiled a .351 batting average and .435 on-base percentage for the month. In 25 games he piled up 27 hits, 10 home runs, 22 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Facio has collected 88 hits for the Bishops this year, 27 of them home runs. He has also netted 73 RBIs and scored 55 runs while batting .259. |
