Manager Waller Leaves, Dismissed by Cork Saturday, December 6th , 1913 Fionntán Waller has managed his last game with the Cork Salmon. Waller met with team officials yesterday and his termination was officially announced today in a prepared statement from club general manager . "Fionntán Waller has done an admirable job here, but I think it's time to go in another direction," the statement read. "At the end of the day, we just aren't getting the results we want with Fionntán and at this point we're willing to try to turn things around with a new manager." A replacement has yet to be named, but a decision is expected to come forward shortly. Team owner The owner of the Cork Salmon told BNN that the team had only been contemplating a managerial shift in the past week. Waller left the clubhouse quietly upon learning the news and refused to comment when pressed by reporters. |
