Trois-Rivieres Downs Quebec City as Wilson Tosses 3-0 Shutout
Tuesday, August 12th , 1913
Darnell Wilson was in a mood to talk following the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens contest against the Quebec City Dons, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Dons, 3-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Wilson said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Quebec City on a 1-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 8 strikeouts.
In the current season in 18 starts, Darnell Wilson has a record of 13-5 with 69 strikeouts in 149.2 innings and a 2.47 ERA.
