Gómez Torches Florists for 5 Hits Friday, August 22nd , 1913 Gabriel Gómez did more than his part as the Pickering Bonebreakers topped the Brampton Florists, 4-1, at Florists Grounds. The Bonebreakers left fielder pounded out 5 hits to pace his team. Gabriel Gómez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Esquilo Gutiérrez in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
