Ramos Shuts Out Sherbrooke, 6-0 Monday, September 1st , 1913 Salvador Ramos was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Moncton Magnets hurler tossed a 4-hit, complete game shutout against the Sherbrooke Privateers. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Ramos. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Ramos walked 4 and struck out 10 in the 6-0 victory. For the year, Ramos has a 16-11 record with a 3.78 ERA in 27 starts.
