OBA Outstanding Skipper Award Given to Vásquez Sunday, October 12th , 1913 Jesús Vásquez, skipper of the Sudbury Meteors, was voted 1913 Ontario Baseball Association Manager of the Year and accepted the award earlier today. He guided Sudbury to first place in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario North with a 80-52 record. "I'm very happy about this," he said at the press conference. "But I'm more happy about what my boys did on the field. They battled their butts off for me all year. They should get the credit." |
