Hatt Misbehaves, Suspended 3 Games Wednesday, September 10th , 1913 The baseball commissioner has suspended Fur Traders first baseman Matt Hatt 3 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Medicine Hat game at Hellfire Park. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Hatt said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." This season, Hatt is batting .223 with 27 hits, 4 home runs, 10 RBIs, no walks, .220 OBP and has scored 10 runs. He has played in 56 games. |
