Gas Capture Western League Monday, September 15th , 1913 Could a championship parade soon be in the future for the Vancouver Gas? The team certainly hopes so, tonight having taken a big first step, by winning the Western League. "We want to give the fans in Vancouver something to celebrate. This is a start, but we have much more planned," said starting pitcher Telégono Soto. "There's a passion for baseball in our city and we want to reward the fans who have stuck by us." The team's division-leading record sits at 71-56. It is the 1st Western League crown in franchise history and the Gas will be seeking their 1st Western & Plains League championship. |
