Premier Player Named by Western League Tuesday, October 21st , 1913 Marvin Raven of the Medicine Hat Hellfire had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Governor-General's Award (W&PL) for 1913. The 28-year-old first baseman put up a .333 average and a .376 on-base percentage, piling up 89 hits, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 16 home runs, 41 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Calvino Alonzo of the Kamloops Fur Traders finished second in voting, while Enda Hill of the Calgary Chargers finished third.
