20 Games in a Row for Martínez Saturday, July 12th , 1913 The hot bat of Yardmen left fielder Pablo Martínez continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 2-for-4 in today's 10-2 loss to the Horizons at Horizons Park. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Pablo Martínez struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Thus far this season, Martínez has hit .330 with 6 home runs, 65 RBIs and scored 49 times. |
