Werewolves Fizzle in 6-0 Loss to Artists Thursday, August 7th , 1913 Oscar Soto shut out the Los Lunas Werewolves, 6-0, on a 4-hit masterpiece for the Taos Artists at Taos Grounds. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Taos skipper Mateo Avina said afterward. Soto registered 14 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Los Lunas manager Christian Sangster after the defeat.
