Albarrán 5-for-6 for Newburyport Friday, July 4th , 1913 Sotero Albarrán was unstoppable, but the Newburyport Deep Ones were not. Despite his hitting heroics at The House of Sorrow, the Deep Ones lost, 2-1, to the Templeton Red Onions. Albarrán battered Templeton for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Albarrán just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits." Sotero Albarrán singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, singled in the 10th and doubled in the 12th. For the year, Albarrán is batting .287 with 1 home run.
