Injury Brings Season to End for Rojas Saturday, July 19th , 1913 Obviously disappointed, Silvio Rojas confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Providence starting pitcher offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 23-year-old Rojas suffered a fractured elbow on 07/16/1913 and has been out of action since. In 26 starts this season, Rojas has picked up 4 wins while suffering 14 losses. He has pitched 150.2 innings, allowed 170 hits, struck out 65 and posted a 4.90 ERA. |
