Rangel Shackles Brattleboro Friday, August 1st , 1913 Burlington Lightermen hurler Cristino Rangel was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Brattleboro Melodeons, shutting them out, 3-0, on 6 hits. "Cristino was very aggressive tonight," Burlington manager Daniel Garza said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence." Through 9 innings, Rangel tallied 6 strikeouts and allowed 3 walks. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Larry Manley said. "Rangel has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off." In 32 starts this season, Rangel has recorded a 10-18 record and a 3.53 ERA.
