Derry No Match for McClellan Thursday, August 7th , 1913 The bats were ice cold for the Derry Spuds at The Potato Patch. Manchester Gamblers starter Danny McClellan kept the Spuds cold all day, shutting them out, 2-0. In a fine outing, the 31-year-old hurler allowed 6 hits while striking out 4 and walking 3. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," McClellan admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
