The Math Says - Rocking Horses Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 10th , 1913 The Winchendon Rocking Horses quite simply didn't have what it took this year. The club was formally eliminated from playoff qualification in 1913. "It feels bad," said Rocking Horses first baseman Homero Méndez, when asked for his response by reporters. "Having your biggest hopes of the year dashed feels bad." Before this season, the Rocking Horses last missed the playoffs in 1907. In the 11 years they have been a Baseball League of New England franchise, they have made the playoffs 5 times. Winchendon last won the Championship of New England in 1912. |
