Hernández Bewilders Headstones, 3-0 Monday, August 11th , 1913 Luis Hernández was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Barre Headstones on 6 hits. "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Barre manager Édgar Huerta after the 3-0 loss to the Brattleboro Melodeons. Hernández finished with 10 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, Brattleboro manager Larry Manley said Hernández "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
