Barre Sits Atop Northern New England Association Vermont Circuit
Wednesday, August 13th , 1913
The Barre Headstones have dealt with a season's worth of challenges and survived to be crowned the Northern New England Association Vermont Circuit champions.
First Baseman Marco Chacón was exuberant in talking with the media after the clinch.
"This is what it's all about, I couldn't be happier right now," he said. "We've got a special team here and I think we are going to do big things."
The Headstones have a record of 76-51 and the division win is the 5th in franchise history.
"We want to bring the 1st Baseball League of New England championship to Barre," said team owner Scott Crandell. "I firmly believe my players and coaches will get it done."
