Bean Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, September 3rd , 1913 Michael Bean really did a number on the Arecibo Cachorros -- and the Cachorros did one right back on Bean's team, the Toa Alta Sonetistas, taking the Estadio Lupercal contest, 2-1. Bean delivered a huge 5-for-9 performance for Toa Alta, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box," the 19-year-old third baseman said after putting up a game for the ages. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Michael Bean grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th, walked in the 14th, doubled in the 16th, singled in the 18th, grounded out in the 20th and grounded out in the 22nd.
