Barceloneta Blanked by Mandujano Monday, September 8th , 1913 In a remarkable performance, Vega Alta Lirios starter MartÃn Mandujano beat the Barceloneta Guardiamarinas, 4-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Lirios hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Barceloneta manager Dionisio Medina said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
