In a superb outing at Parquecito de Las Piedras, the Aprendices pitcher blanked the Las Piedras Peritos, 13-0. "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Watanabe said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count." The Guayama starter held Las Piedras scoreless, giving up 7 hits while registering 5 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," Peritos manager Zabulón Peña said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
