Aprendices Win Tight Liga José Padilla División Carmen Bozello y Guzmán Race Monday, September 22nd , 1913 The Guayama Aprendices are trying to accomplish something that's never been done before - hosting a Campeonato Veraniego de Principiantes parade in the city of Guayama. They've taken the big first step, winning the Liga José Padilla División Carmen Bozello y Guzmán title. "We want to win a championship, that's our ultimate goal and something our franchise deserves," said closer Nicolás Acosta. "Our coaches, GM and ownership have been behind us, it's time to make that effort pay off." The club's record sits at 56-38 and it is the 1st time they've won the division title. Team manager Samuel Vega said it will be the "accomplishment of a lifetime" if he can lead the team to a championship. "It's what we've been working towards for so long," he said. |
