Guayama Takes Serie Interliga in Deciding Game Sunday, September 28th , 1913 It went the distance, but the Guayama Aprendices finally disposed of the Cidra Sabaneros 10-3 in the series clincher at Parquecito de Cidra. Winning the finale gave the Aprendices the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Campeonato de las Ligas. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Guayama first baseman Robert George. He batted .500 in the series, collecting 5 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. "Robert deserves it," said Aprendices manager Samuel Vega. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Guayama Aprendices will play against the Loiza Pleneros in the next round. Loiza won their series against the Naguabo Malditos 2 games to 0.
