Serie Interliga Goes the Distance, San Juan Prevails Monday, September 29th , 1913 The fans in San Juan are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Manati. The San Juan Ciudadanos finished off the Manati Hoplitas 4-0 in the deciding game of the Serie Interliga played at Parquecito de San Juan. They took the series 2-1 and will now head to the Campeonato de las Ligas. For his standout play, San Juan center fielder Brock Knowles was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .462, drove in 1 runs and scored 1 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to Knowles and that doomed us," said Hoplitas manager Laureano Jaimes. "Hats off to San Juan, though. That was a great series." The San Juan Ciudadanos don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Aguada Catecumenes - Santa Isabel Petisos series. That series is tied at 1 game each.
