Liga José Padilla Announces Best Manager Saturday, October 25th , 1913 The Guayama Aprendices had an outstanding season, much of it due to their astute and gifted skipper. For his managerial excellence, Samuel Vega reaped the reward of being voted Liga José Padilla Manager of the Year. "A manager is only as good as the players he's managing," Vega told reporters. "If I didn't have the talent to work with, making all the right moves wouldn't have helped a bit." Under Vega the Aprendices finished first in the Liga José Padilla División Carmen Bozello y Guzmán with a record of 57-39. |
