#1 Pitcher Trophy Won by Beatos Sandoval Sunday, October 26th , 1913 Gustavo Sandoval was the most outstanding pitcher in the Liga José Padilla this year and today was acclaimed the Excelentísimo (LVP) winner for his efforts. Sandoval had a marvelous season, going 10-1 with an impressive 0.93 ERA in 13 starts. He struck out 111 in 106.1 innings and limited opposing batters to a .197 batting average. He received 78 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Fionnbár Mackenzie of the Orocovis Behiques finished second in voting, while Lalo Reyna of the Cidra Sabaneros finished third.
