Liga Oeste Top Rookie Announced Monday, October 20th , 1913 The Liga Oeste announced today that Justino Martínez has been chosen the best rookie in the Liga Oeste and would be the 1913 recipient of the Nobilísimo (LBPV). The Valencia starter had everything working for him as he breezed to a 4-8 record. During the season Martínez chalked up 20 starts and a 4.25 ERA in 163 innings, surrendering 217 hits with 11 strikeouts and 61 walks. Other clubs hit .318 against him.
