Kobal 5-for-5 Against Wunderkinder Wednesday, August 20th , 1913 Ljubljana right fielder Tomislav Kobal had a fantastic day at the plate at Stadion Ljubljane, knocking out 5 hits and pacing his club to a win, 7-1. "It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Kobal said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Wunderkinder. "No offense meant to Salzburg, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid park, it was Stadion Ljubljane." After the game, his manager elaborated on the right fielder's improvements, saying Kobal spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball. "That's what I'm trying to do," Kobal said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Tomislav Kobal hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. So far this season, Kobal has gotten 114 hits in 362 at-bats for a .315 batting average with 9 home runs. His stats include 57 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has played in 98 games.
