Iwamoto Skunks Kagoshima, 3-0 Saturday, June 20th , 1914 Mitsuya Iwamoto was dynamite at Shinobi Field, blowing away the Kagoshima Teitoku in a shutout victory. The Iga Shinobi starter had everything working as he held the Teitoku to 5 hits in the 3-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Kagoshima skipper Cristián Morales. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Iwamoto finished the game with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. Up to now Iwamoto has recorded a record of 10-10.
