Nishio Brings Home NL Batter of Month Honor Wednesday, July 1st , 1914 In June, Yoshinobu Nishio beat the baseball like a drum the entire month and netted the Northern League Batter of the Month award. In 25 games the Hakodate second baseman hit .388 with no home runs, 15 RBIs and 15 runs scored. Looking at his present stats, Nishio has compiled a .365 batting average in 78 games with a .411 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 52 runs. |
