Okamura Breezes to Shutout Victory Monday, July 20th , 1914 Shuji Okamura kept the Takasaki Sakura hitters from doing much damage at Kamome Ballpark. Takasaki could only muster 5 hits and draw 2 walks against the left-handed Okamura, who controlled them throughout the game. Fukushima won the contest, 7-0. Okamura added 3 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Okamura told reporters after the shutout win.
