Hotaru Crowned Kings of the Northern League Sunday, August 9th , 1914 The Aomori Hotaru have taken a big first step in winning the franchise's first Japan Series. "We're champions of the Northern League and now it's time to get that championship," said starting pitcher Josh Shields. "The fans deserve it and all the guys in this room want to bring that title home." It is the club's 2nd division title and although they have never won the league championship, manager Eliseo Apodaca said the club will "certainly be prepared" once playoffs begin. |
