Hakuchoh Move on to Japan Series Tuesday, August 18th , 1914 After their 5-3 win today at Hakuchoh Park over the Aomori Hotaru, the Niigata Hakuchoh will advance to the Japan Series. Niigata won the series by a 4-0 margin. Leading the way for the Hakuchoh was first baseman Ron Sabine, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Niigata Hakuchoh don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Yamatokoriyama Kingyo - Kumamoto Kuma series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Japan Series schedule will be announced after the Pennant Series finishes.
