Mansell Wins SL Manager of the Year Trophy Sunday, September 13th , 1914 Mike Mansell, skipper of the Yamatokoriyama Kingyo, was voted 1914 Southern League Manager of the Year and accepted the award earlier today. He guided Yamatokoriyama to second place in the Southern League with a 70-56 record. "I'm very happy about this," he said at the press conference. "But I'm more happy about what my boys did on the field. They battled their butts off for me all year. They should get the credit." |
