Sault Ste. Marie first baseman Justin Williams had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rapids dropped a 6-4 decision to Thunder Bay at Rapids Park. Williams was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Terry Seaman got the win, improving to 4-5. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 5. The setback makes Sault Ste. Marie 34-22.

Thunder Bay used a clutch at-bat from Odiseo Gener to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Sleeping Giants ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
