The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids locked up a win at Air Marshals Park, knocking off the Nipissing Air Marshals, 6-3. On the mound for Sault Ste. Marie was right-hander Lucas Galindo. He played a major role in the triumph. Galindo yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 17-10. The first-place Rapids lifted their record to 63-43.
Justin Williams, who leads the OBA with a .581 slugging percentage, took Nipissing hurler Felipe Camarillo deep in the top of the third. His grand slam home run put the Rapids on top, 5-2. In all, Williams had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
