The Halifax Batteries knocked off the Sherbrooke Privateers, 8-2, in Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action at Privateers Grounds. Halifax pitcher and Orocovis, Puerto Rico, native Álvaro Loredo had an outstanding performance. Halifax reliever Álvaro Loredo got the win, raising his record to 4-6. Carlos Cruz was tagged with the loss. The second-place Batteries go to 55-55.

Halifax used a clutch at-bat from Pablo Ramírez to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Batteries ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Pedro Aponte.
