It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.

Despite a fine performance by left fielder Alberto Robles, the Moncton Magnets lost to the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens, 4-2. Robles went 3-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. With the win, Trois-Rivieres pushed its record to 69-53.

Roberto Azua had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Trois-Rivieres center fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Trifluviens in front, 3-2.

Said losing manager Plutarco Carrillo: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
