Guabaleros Lose Late to Mulos
|
At Coliseo Miguel Chávez, the Comerio Guabaleros and Aguas Buenas Mulos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Though he had a terrific game, Rhys Read could not prevent his team, the Comerio Guabaleros, from absorbing a loss. Aguas Buenas won the game, 4-3. Read was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Max Drummond. He tossed 129 pitches over 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits.
Aguas Buenas took a 4-3 lead on Orlando Martín's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Martín hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Comerio pitcher Balduino Anaya visibly frustrated.
Martín told the Aguas Buenas Daily News: "Don't care what other people think. Orlando knows who Orlando is."
With the win, Aguas Buenas elevates its record to 17-11.
