The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

Luis Pertuz had a strong outing for the Rincon Ingenieros against the Barranquitas Ilustres at Estadio de los Ilustres. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Pertuz went the distance for Rincon. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits.

Matías Núñez came through with a big-time hit for Rincon. The center fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
