The Yabucoa Dulceros racked up a win at Estadio Gilberto Martínez, bumping off the Guanica Amigos, 4-3. Pedro Jácquez, who started for Yabucoa, pitched effectively for his team. The second-place Dulceros go to 75-70.

Yabucoa shortstop Pablo Ruiz produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Cid Maldonado on the mound and Yabucoa leading 3-2. Ruiz reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.

"I'm proud to wear a Yabucoa jersey," Ruiz told the Yabucoa News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
