Anasco took on Trujillo Alto in front of a lively crowd.
Anasco starter Fernando López pitched well against the Trujillo Alto Macabeos at Estadio Noé Martínez. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. In 8.1 innings, López surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs.
An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Matadioses pinch hitter Leonel Vásquez hit a sinker from Javier Rodríguez for a 2-run single. Just like that, Anasco was up, 3-2.
"Use your eyes, make an adjustment, and be better," said losing manager Eufemio Sinche. "We need some accountability all the way around. Everybody, top to bottom."
Anasco is in second place in the Liga Hostos Oeste with a record of 77-68.
