Electricos Take Nail-Biter Over Palomas
|
In a tight tilt between the Guayanilla Electricos and the Cidra Palomas, Wilfredo Arias was the difference-maker. The Guayanilla right-hander excelled in his team's 1-0 win in 11 innings. Guayanilla pitcher Curro Terrazas got the win. He's now 3-8. Príamo Diosdado was tagged with the loss. By defeating Cidra, the third-place Electricos improved to 70-77.
The Electricos got a clutch hit from catcher Abundio Zea. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Electricos.
"We were determined to pick up this win," said Zea.
